Lovely river with lots of water and plenty of room for aquatic plants and animals

After a “lifetime” of typing Theses and scientific papers (early days) and then as a self-employed desktop publisher, TINA BONE turned professional artist in March 2005. She is a self-taught, Wildlife and Botanical artist and illustrator who also produces illuminated letter designs with gold leaf. She has exhibited locally, nationally and internationally. Tina has sold paintings worldwide, and her work is published on jigsaws and cards. Twice a finalist in the BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year Competition, her paintings have also featured in magazines. Commissions have included pen and ink drawings for GCSE science school books, scientific publications, and hand-drawn maps for publication. Two of her works hang in a Saudi palace. Tina is listed in Who’s Who in Art and in the Dictionary of International Biography.

Commissions have included the three main subjects mentioned above as well as, for example, a huge gas stationary engine, and pet and people portraits!

The books arrived today. I can see why T. was so impressed – they’re informative, beautifully illustrated and utterly charming. I’ll make sure that my contacts across various organisations get to see them – they richly deserve to be distributed widely. RCSEMO.

J. kindly gave me five of your beautifully illustrated books for my birthday. They are really lovely. I have read the first one and shall enjoy all the others, referring to them when I visit nature reserves, when we are allowed to do that again. There are several reserves around here with lakes and rivers that I go to regularly. I really appreciate J’s thoughtfulness and your talent, so thanks again. RC.

Dear Ms. Bone, My name is FH – JH’s grandson. I was just writing to say how much I have enjoyed the “River Friend” book series. …the content [was] informative and easily understandable, as well as there being a manageable quantity of it. …enjoyed the illustrations, they both clearly conveyed the scenario and were very pleasant. All the best, FH.
